I was planning a girls weekend away in Mexico and just went to puerto Vallarta in May of this year for 8 days and stayed at the dreams resort which was amazing. Due to the renovations at the dreams resort, my friend and I decided to stay at the barcelo instead. I received word that there would be a group of individuals staying in the resort and there may be some nudity but they would be in their own private area. Given that the notice was less then a week from my trip, it would cost quite a bit to change my flight and get additional time off from work to come another time, so my friend and I decided to keep the date of our trip the same and hope for the best. First of all, we couldn't enjoy the pool area because they had it blocked off for this group.

Two things kept me from giving this hotel five stars We called Orbitz and they put us on hold and claimed to call the Barcelo and then denied anything was going on. When we got to the hotel was were asked if we were part of "the group".
