The project is cancelled. There's been quite a bit of talk over the costumes sported by Wonder Woman actress Adrianne Palicki and her stunt double in leaked shots. As it turns out, we may have only seen two thirds of her superpowered wardrobe. Apparently the modified costume with the red boots and reduced-glare pants is only one of three outfits viewers will see when the series debuts. The first was leaked last month to much skepticism , and the third has yet to be revealed. Three costumes intended for Wonder Woman 's maiden season sounds odd, especially considering the stylistic similarity of the two seen thus far.

With Entertainment Weekly's release of the first official photo from the pilot, we see exactly what Adrianne Palicki will look like when she takes to the streets to fight crime. Inspired by elements from both the classic and re-envisioned look of Wonder Woman, Kelley may have made his first big mistake when it comes to bringing this famed character to the small screen. While the colorful, and fantastical, wardrobes of iconic comic book characters look wonderful on the page or in animated features, these same eye-popping colors and cleverly designed outfits simply cannot exist in a three-dimensional world. Without someone taking the time to decide the best way to interpret these characters and their outfits for other mediums, you will always end up with embarrassingly uninspired costumes - the same as the one pictured above. After the script for the pilot leaked out , those doubts grew exponentially.

NBC may have passed on David E. Kelley's Wonder Woman pilot, but WonderWoman. Personally, I liked the two previous versions of the costume, but this one just hits all the right chords with me well, aside from the kind of creepy dude. What is Duncan Goodhew doing there? This is an odd photo.
