In what could be a first in the world of political advertising, a message created by a deeply unhappy Arkansas voter that initially came alive on the web in December is going to air on television tonight in the important primary state of South Carolina, right in the middle of a Fox News debate among the Republican presidential candidates. The minute-long advertisement attacks Republican Mike Huckabee for the release of convicted serial rapist Wayne Dumond during Huckabee's tenure as Arkansas governor. Dumond went on to kill a woman named Carol Sue Shields in Missouri. The advertisement is a re-shot version of a web video , which featured Davidson in front of a Christmas tree making the same charges. It was created by Keith Emis, a former Republican operative active in state politics who is now a paper-products salesman in Fayetteville, Arkansas. While it's not uncommon for experienced political operatives and semi-professional groups to test a message online or off before they establish a more formal political organization, this new development is unusual if Emis is truly an independent individual as he claims.
