Tanzania is a country in East Africa along the Indian Ocean with 36 million inhabitants. It is one of the least urbanized countries on the continent, and because of poverty, it is extremely difficult for the government to build kindergartens and schools. Therefore, humanitarian organizations from around the world often take a part of the job on themselves. One of those is the Croatian humanitarian organization Kolajna Ljubavi, which takes care of the orphanage of St. Anthony in the town of Songea.
The poor live among us. We have a duty to do something to make life bearable and worth living for them. Mustapha Ngumbi and his wife Rose Charle, residents of the southern region, brought their 4 year-4 month old Baraka all the way from Songea nearly km from Dar to the charity gathering. Baraka, whose name means luck, did not have the luck of being born with a good heart but one with a hole, a problem which took his parents long to detect. When they took the child to Peramiho Hospital in thesregion, the child was diagnosed with a hole in the heart.
